The Orton-Gillingham approach is a teaching method specifically designed to help each individual child with decoding, reading fluency, phonics, spelling, and comprehension. Our motto is, "as fast as you can, as slow as you must". Sometimes students have difficulty learning to read and write using traditional instruction methods. This approach is specifically designed to help individuals who do not easily perceive the patterns of language and symbols, gain meaning from print, or communicate clearly orally and/or in writing.
